NBA 2K18

Introduction

Hello everyone and welcome to todays review. Before we start i would like to thank you for reading my review. So lets get into it.

Today we will be reviewing the newly released NBA 2K18 . Firstly EA hired a company to do the developing for them and this company where called Visual Concepts and they are a developing company. 

The publishers for the game is 2k Sports and 2k games. 2K Sports is a american video game publisher and it is a sub division of 2k games. 

The platoforms of 2k18 re playstation pc mac and xbox. These are the main 4 platforms for most games really.

This secton is about inconsistant shooting. In Nba the way to win is to sink buckets and to do so you need to shoot good shots so there is alot of differant shots you can take. so you have a release measure of Excelent Good Slightly late and slightly early or very early or very late.  And then you have a measurement of coverage. Wide open, Open , lightly contested , Heavilly Contested and smoterd. So the way to score is to shoot clever shots not silly things like a slightly early smotherd. These shots will never go in as the percentages are literally 1 percent chance for a shot of that stature to go in.  So lets talk about the the consistancy of the shots. i personally play as a pure sharpshooter who can shoot very well however i have played games where slightly early heavily contested shots have gone in and i have missed 3 good wide opens in a row. In my opinion 2k need to fix this becuase these 3 missed shots are the differance between winning a game and loosing a game and this game means alot to people. i am sick and tired of loosing games becuase i miss shots that should go in however i make shots that are just ridiculos.

In this section i would like to talk about My carrer vs park.

My carrer is where you play for any team of your choice and try and become the best and the park is where you play vs online people to try and have a great record and destroy opponents.

Both are very good modes however you have to play one to be good at the other. So you have to play my carrer to be good at the park becuase you gain points for things called badges. So these badges are specfic for each player so my pure sharpshooter has the catch and shoot badge where n increases you shot percentage if you catch and shoot and these badges have 4 differant levels. Bronze Silver Gold Hall of fame. And to get these badges it takes alot of time to be precise it takes around 300,000 points to get hall of fame cath and shoot and you get around 3000 points per my carrer game and this means it would take around 100 my carrer games. to get just one badge and there is 5. so thats 500 my carrer games to get the best badges to increase your shot percentage and this is good for those that enjoy my carrer but for those who only play park it is bad. You do still get points in park infact you get alot more if you are good but it takes time to find games it takes time to become good at the game.

In my opinion you should play my carrer first before you play park as it gets you used to the game however the ai are alot worse than the players at the park so it is a big step up and that is why badges are so improtant. I play alot more park because i have played way to much my carrer now to get my badges so i just shoot buckets at the park.

Gameplay

The gameplay of nba 2k18 is fantastic it is very much like a real game of basketball the dribbling isnt great but it is not as op as it used to be so those dribble gods cant destroy there opponents every game. There is a huge leraning curve for anyone who hasn't played the game before as it requires a lot of time and effort to become good at the game. I have been playing the game for around 2 months now and i am just good i am not great or fantastic just average

and that bothers me so i play very often to become the best that i can be.  The gameplay suits those who are not great at the game becuase it is slow not fast it is only fast for those who are birlliant at the game and know how to speed it up with specific dirbble moves and step backs. And i find this good becuase games can be challenging agaisnt people like that and you can allways learn how to become better.

Narrative.

The narrative of the game is that you are a old player who had a chance before but blew it all of for music but you are back and you are back to impress. You impress at a tournemant at you get to aquire a agent who lets you pick what team you want to play for so me i picked the philidelphia 76er's who are my faveruoite team and the whole game is a story about how you can potentially become the best player in nba history so there is ratings that you can achieve the best is 99 rated and you start at 60 rated and from experiance in my 2 months of playing nba for 4 hours a day i am only 89 rated and it costs to get to 85 so i have gone up 4 ratings in two months so it is very difficult but that is the whole idea of it. You cant just become the best player in two days there would be no point 

Target Audience and genre
The target audience of the game is american teenagers as basketball is a very big thing in america much bigger than in the uk. The genre of the game is a sports game 

Why you should play nba

You should play nba becuase it is a very time consuming game where it takes effort to be good and the joy of becoming good cant be matched the feeling of being good at something and like really good cannot be matched and this game rewards you more than anything. If you get to 99 rated to practicly become nba famous and everyone knows you for example . The french youtuber Sb coach is 99 rated and everyone knows him and especiialy me becuase me and my mate toby beat him and he added us as friends because we wooped his ass 21 0.

In conclusion If you are looking for a game that requires a lot of time and effort but has a ridiculous amount of rewards then nba is the game for you. I would rate ba 2k18 a 7/10 as the idea of the game is great however it could be excuted more
